Joe DeGrazia Memorial Scholarship
Available to Sonoma County residents pursuing a career in agriculture. Applicants must have some agriculture experience, such as an agricultural 4-H project, or work experience on a ranch. They must be entering or attending a college or trade school.

The 4-H Foundation of Sonoma County is excited to announce that we recently received a generous donation of  $5,000 for five $1,000 scholarships from the Grainger Community Grant Program.  These scholarship funds will be available to Sonoma County residents pursuing a career in Agriculture or Agri-Business. They must be entering or attending a college or trade school.

4-H Foundation of Sonoma County Scholarship
Available to Sonoma County 4-H members who have been active in 4-H a minimum of 4 years, including his/her Junior and Senior years of high school. Applicant must be entering or attending a college or accredited trade school.

Rotary Club of Santa Rosa Leonard Talbot Memorial Scholarship
Available to a graduating senior from a public or private high school within the Santa Rosa City Schools service who has been an active participant in either 4-H or the Big Brother/Big Sister organization for a minumum of one year. Applicant must be entering an accredited university, community college, or trade/business school diring the following semester.

4-H Foundation of Sonoma County Project/Event Grants
Available to 4-H Clubs and county-wide projects, activities and events. Funds will not be granted for payment of judges, or for expenses normally incurred in carrying out a project.

2010 4-H Foundation Scholarship Recipients

$500 – JorDann Crawford
Graduating from El Molino High School, JorDann is a member of Forestville 4-H, will be going to the Santa Rosa Junior College to study the agricultural communications/business.

$1,000 – Kasey Schalich
Graduating from Piner High School, Kasey is a member of Forestville 4-H. She plans to attend Biola University and study to become a high school science teacher.

$1,000 – John Mohrman
Graduating from Petaluma High School, John is a member of Liberty 4-H and was a 2008-09 Sonoma County All Star. He plans to attend Butte Community College and study welding.

$1,000 – Rocco Cunningham
Graduating from Petaluma High School, Rocco is a member of Penngrove 4-H and was a 2008-09 Sonoma County All Star. He plans to attend the University of Nevada at Reno and study pharmaceutical development.

$1,000 – Savannah Warner
Graduating from El Molino High School, Savannah is a member of Forestville Valley 4-H. She plans to attend the Santa Rosa Junior College and plans to have a career in Orthodontistry.

$1,500 – Zachary Henney
Graduating from Maria Carillo High School, Zach is a member of Forestville 4-H and was a 2009-10 Sonoma County All Star. He plans to attend one of the California universities and become an aerospace engineer.

$2,000 – Brooke Parsons
Graduating from El Molino High School, Brooke has been a member of Forestville 4-H club and was a 2009-10 Sonoma County All Star. She plans to attend Cornell University and study to become an agricultural biotechnologist or livestock nutritionist.

$2,000 – Cynthia Hinde
Graduating from Montgomery High School, Cynthia is a member of Sequoia 4-H, was a 2008-09 Sonoma County All Star and is currently a 2009-10 State Ambassador. She plans to attend Santa Rosa Junior College and study agriculture education.

Brooke Parsons was also selected as the recipient for the 2010 Joseph DiGrazia $1,000 Memorial Scholarship.
